2nd Annual Run/Walk in Remembrance 5K & Rev It Up In Remembrance Car Show

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 Doug Behme Foundation hosted their 2nd Annual Walk/Run in Remembrance 5K and Rev It Up in Remembrance Car Show. The events are held annually in remembrance of loved ones who have passed away and to enable the Foundation to provide assistance and opportunities to those who have been victims of burn injuries, as well as to their children and their families.

The Walk/Run in Remembrance 5K attracted over 250 participants.  Among the participants were Team Nick, Team Conor, and Team Ron walking in memory of Nick Hellinger, Conor Vesper, and Ron Langendorf.  Top 5K finishers included Tricia Young and Justin Citrowske. 

The Rev It Up in Remembrance Car Show was themed after the 1950s and drew 82 entries. The first 50 entrants received dash plaques and top prizes went to Mark Chasteen’s 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1, Mick and Deb Fravell’s 1939 Chevrolet 1 ½ ton, “Dan the Man’s” 2007 Harley Super Glide, John Naylor’s 1969 Chevy Camaro, John Derninger ‘s 1972 Chevy Nova SS, and Jason Graklanoff’s 1956 Chevy Bel-Air.  

Doug Behme Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Village of Worden, the Worden Public Library, the Worden Volunteer Fire Department, Omphgent Township, and all volunteers for their hard work and dedication to making the 5K and car show a success.

The 3rd Annual Run/Walk in Remembrance 5K and Rev It Up in Remembrance Car Show will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019.
