The Doug Behme Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance and opportunities to those who have been affected by burn injuries, as well as to their children and their families.
The Doug Behme Foundation was established in 2017 in loving memory of John Douglas “Doug” Behme.
On April 6, 2016 Doug was injured in a work-related accident. He spent 24 days in the Burn Center at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri before he joined his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2016. During the time spent at Mercy, Doug’s family received an overwhelming amount of love, support, and assistance from friends, co-workers, church family, members of several communities, and complete strangers. Because of this outpouring of generosity and the impact it had on Doug's family, our mission is to support others affected by burn injuries, as well as their families and to let them know that "It'll Be Okay."
